Julie and Scott were fortunate enough to attend the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) conference in Bremen, Germany last week. They presented the key findings from the systematic review that the team has been conducting.

The goal of this systematic review was to review all the studies we could find that completed community based projects to help people lose weight. Because we left out many projects (for example ones completed in the workplace) there were only 10 papers that we presented the results from (down from over 28,000!).
It’s the content of these papers that we presented to the communities during our community cafes before Christmas last year. If you were part of the early engagements you’ll know that although the systematic review helped guide us, it was a joint process in developing the ELLY Project.
It was great to get feedback on the presentation and hear about the great work other people are doing!
We hope to have our review submitted for publication soon but for now all our focus is on the project for the next 12 weeks!

Thanks for reading and see you at an activity in your area soon!
The ELLY Team
